Power-One¡¯s comprehensive array of rack-mount
front ends utilize high-efficiency topologies, and advanced
thermal-management techniques, to provide industry-
leading power densities and energy savings.
Robust feature sets include standby outputs,
parallel/redundant and hot-swap capabilities, ultra-compact
packages with front-panel status LEDs, wide input-voltage
ranges, a complete range of logic signals, and extensive
I©÷C interface monitoring and control.

I©÷C-Adjustable
Wide-Range Outputs
Optimize System-Level Efficiencies
In addition to providing best-in-class
front-end power-conversion efficiencies, Power-One¡¯s
front ends are designed to reduce system-level power
consumption.
- A broad
selection of output voltages can reduce the cost and
space required for downstream power conversion to
application specific voltages, such as 32V to power
RF amplifiers.
- Wide adjustment
ranges enable users to select a bus voltage that minimizes
their system-specific I©÷R distribution losses and
increases the efficiencies of downstream DC-DC converters.
- I©÷C adjustability
provides the option to continuously adjust the output
of the front end, optimizing the bus voltage in response
to dynamic operating conditions to further reduce
I©÷R distribution losses and increase power-converter
efficiencies.

Backplane
and Front-Mounted AC Inputs
and Common-Footprint DC-Input Solutions
AC connection options include backplane-mounted
hot-swap connectors and front-mounted IEC receptacles.
Selected products utilize the same packaging
and backplane connectors for both AC-input and DC-input
versions. This common-package approach facilitates DC-input
front ends that will operate in existing AC-input systems
with minimal rack hardware changes.

Single and
Multiple High-Current Outputs
in Front End and Power Shelf Configurations
Power-One offers front ends with single
and multiple high-current outputs. Multiple-output products
can accelerate time to market in networking applications
requiring several high-current rail voltages and/or
instances where sufficient board space is not available
to implement DPA and IBA solutions.
Power shelves are available to facilitate
a variety of n+1 configurations. Product features include:
massive copper bus bars for low-loss current distribution,
DIP-switch enabled address coding, and connectors to
support I©÷C and logic-based control and monitoring.
